Hi all, as you may know, we had our inspection yesterday…and we passed! The inspector marked us down as 100% complete! Although it’s not in stone because he has to turn in his report and photos to his boss who has to review and approve it, then he forwards it on to our mortgage company who has to review and approve it. If they approve it, then it’s official, and we’re home free. So although it’s not technically over, it’s looking pretty good.
At this point I would like to thank everyone who has helped us in this huge project. As far as my family goes, I would like to thank my dad, grandfather and big sister. And for friends, Marshmallow and Shakira. Unfortunately I don’t have nicknames for the other ones, but you know who you are. 🙂 (I just don’t want to mention real names since we’re on the internet here) Oh, and even though it was in her best interest in getting this done I really should thank B for all her hard work, energy, time and patience with this whole thing. She also did a lot of behind-the-scenes work coordinating with the insurance company and mortgage company doing a lot of paperwork, correspondence and coordinating things.
Well, it’s been a long journey, and we’re just about there. Even though we passed inspection, we have some finishing touches to do that were not part of the project scope such as: fix some of the transitions, paint touch-ups, wall repair/touch-up, new tile around the fireplace, pick out/purchase/install new blinds, replace some electrical outlets, etc. But for the most part, it’s finally over!
